"It's sad that he died, Mommy."
("he" meaning Thomas Jefferson because we just visited Monticello and the fact that Thomas Jefferson is dead is her latest fascination)
"Everyone dies."
"Everyone?"
"Yes, everyone."
"Even Mitchell?"
"Yes, even Mitchell."
"Even you?"
"Yes, even me."
"Even me!!?"
"Yes, even you. But you don't need to worry about it because you asked Jesus to be your Savior. So, when we die, we only die from this earth. But we live in heaven with Jesus forever."
"But who will live in our house?"
"I don't know. We won't need it anymore because Jesus said he's going to make a home for us."
"A big house?"
"Yes."
"A Really Big House!?"
"Yes."
"...and will there be food there?"
"Yes."
"...and will you have to make it?"
"No, honey, I won't have to make it."
"Ooooh, Mommy, food you don't have to make! You can just sit down and watch the Hallmark Channel!!"
