With Grateful Hearts

With grateful hearts for family and friends, for those near to us and those who are near in our hearts. For hope and joy, and sorrow and struggles. For laughter and tears, and the songs that He gives along the way. But most of all for Jesus...the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is with grateful hearts that we share with you here.

Christian and Gracie's Baptism

Christian and Gracie were baptized in the river by our beloved Pastor Mark the other week. It was a special night. We opted for just family, cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents, so it was private and special. Mitch, Mitchell, Matthew, and Ben went into the water with the kids too. Mitchell and Matthew because their daddy told them it was a symbol that as older brothers, they are also caretakers of their younger siblings. Ben, our cousin, because he's the young pastor of our family :) I was trying to watch..take photos..and take some video, so my photos aren't the best, but I love them.

What a special moment for your family! I think making more private symbolizes a personal relationship with God and I love that! Congratulations Christian and Gracie!

Thank you for visiting my blog and the sweet comment. The camera I used was a Nikon D90 (my husband's) but he is researching a smaller camera for me that will take sharp pictures, The color was done with editing the brightness and contrast.

Awesome! I was just explaining to my 3 year old yesterday about baptism. I hope I didn't mess it up too much ;) She needs to see one as well to get the idea. I love your photos and they remind me of my own baptism 7 years ago this October.

thanks for sharing!

Congratualations!! My boys did this a few years ago. Not too many churches still baptize at the river. :)
