With grateful hearts for famly and friends,

With Grateful Hearts

With grateful hearts for family and friends, for those near to us and those who are near in our hearts. For hope and joy, and sorrow and struggles. For laughter and tears, and the songs that He gives along the way. But most of all for Jesus...the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is with grateful hearts that we share with you here.

Whirlwind Ride

It's kind of been like living in a whirlwind. I can't believe how much there is to do. Our family has been so great in helping with simply everything! We took a couple of hours off today to swim at our wonderful aunt and uncle's house. I have felt a sort of desperation to spend time with the two little ones who aren't going along. I can't even imagine not seeing them for fifteen days. We've been pushing our way through all sorts of emotions. We've had some personal hardships occurring amid all the joy and excitement, so we would covet your prayers for our family. We cannot believe that in less than a week, Faith will be in our arms, not just in our thoughts.

I'm in the middle of sorting through little girl clothes. I LOVE LITTLE GIRL CLOTHES ! Tomorrow we finish the fine details of paperwork and begin packing. I read a friend's blog the day before they left for China a few weeks ago and the it said, "tonight we pack". I thought, "Why did you wait this long to pack?" .... Now I know. There's just too much to do. I have no idea how all the things left to do will fit into two days....but they must.

Wow...a big thanks to Aunt Sue for feeding us : ) and for being my seamstress and my friend too dear to describe . To mom for everything...you do too much to even mention. To Aunt Lou and Matt for your love and support and this blog. Jen and Laura for your doll clothes expertise. Howard, our handyman, you can do the things we can't. Thanks for that darling little bed. Dad...thanks for just being excited about your new granddaughter and nicknaming her already, thanks for smiling at her picture when you go by the refrigerator. Thanks to our friends for praying. We really need it. We love you all. Thanks mostly to God. Praise be to God for this indescribable gift.

FYI - I think if you become a follower of this blog (down on the right hand side) you can post comments. Aunt Lou, is that correct?

Mitchell looks a lot like a young Danny in this bottom picture.
